Guidelines for Submission

1. The Concept:

  • The reason for the Elevator pitch is to quickly and briefly explain the investor your business proposition and why it is an “investment worthy” business idea. The purpose is to get the investors to say “ Tell me more”.

2. How do I submit:

  • Please prepare a six slide power point presentation using the template given further and send it to IEI at ....@.... On or before 5pm of 30th sept 2016 with “idea pitch” mentioned in the subject line of the email
  • Entries received after the deadline will not be considered.
  • Pitch submitted to the jury will be considered as completely confidential. All rights of the business idea will vest with you.

3. How do I prepare the Idea pitch:

  • All six slides to be prepared and mailed by you. No more than six slides should be sent. Slides exceeding six will not be considered.
  • Title of each slide and sequence of the points on the slide cannot be changed.
  • Graphs photographs word /excel files or links, html links cannot be used. No additional document is permissible.
  • If you do not have information to share on a particular point please mention not applicable and the reason why. Dont leave the point blank or unfilled. Otherwise the jury will consider the application as incomplete and reject it.
  • Size of the completed file at the time of submission cannot exceed 1 MB.
  • Please do not alter the size font or colour of the slide template( text in Arial black on white background).
  • Font size for headings should be Arial 32 and body should be Arial 14.
  • Presentation once mailed cannot be resubmitted.
  • Multiple ideas per person are not allowed.

4. What Next?:

  • Selected pitch will be called for a presentation to the jury as per the schedule posted. No request for the change in schedule will be entertained.
  • Only the person who submitted the idea is allowed to pitch. Other team members are not allowed to participate.
  • Selected ideas from these will be declared on the engineers day function organised by IEI on 16th Oct 2016. these ideas will then undergo a month long boot camp to convert their elevator pitch into a business plan under the expert guidance of an mentor. These business plans will then get a chance to make a pitch in front of the investors the scheduled date and time to be posted latter.
  • Rules guidelines for the business plan pitch will be provided latter.
  • Decision of the jury panel will be final. No communication in this regards will be entertained subsequently.
